presumably the Israelites had a way of making it, not only from dates, as Haaretz claims, but also from bees.
It is you and Kris who presume to be all-seers and extrapolate the lack of OVERT mention of beehives in the Bible to mean that the Israelites shunned it, as if it were pork meat.
Needless to say, you didn`t read the Bible. The Israelites absorbed the remaining Canaanites, and their own language, now called Hebrew, is referred to in the Bible as `The Language of Canaan`. Do you mean to tell me that the Israelites considered the Canaanite language `Kosher` enough to make it the Holy Tongue, yet shunned bee-keeping for honey making as not being Kosher enough? Oh, please.
