The posting from "Herr Haider" is full of generalisations, half-truths and lies.
As an "average Austrian", I can assure Haaretz`s readers that while the greatest part of the Austrian public might not semitophilic along the lines of American Christian fundamentalists, most all Austrians are decidedly not semitophobic.
It is a flat-out lie to say that Austria has not handed back property - one needs only think of the policy that the country`s museums have taken (the return of first rate artwork by Klimt & Co. stands in contrast to the policies of museums in the USA - and Israel!)
If the OP is referring to the Jewish cemetery in Waehring, then he/she should know that October should see the final details for its renovation finalized: www.waehringer-friedhof.at
Any death of anyone in police custody is "too often" - however, I challenge the OP to provide any proof that such events occur more often in Austria than in Germany, France, the UK, Canada, the US - or Israel. |
