Talkback
Title:What should be done for Jews by choice who want to make aliyah?

I understand that Israel is by far an ideal Jewish state. So, what should be done when Jews by choice want to make aliyah? Should we not extend to them the same benefits that all olim deserve. Should certain aliyah agencies and organizations turn their noses up at wanna be Israelis even if they are converts? Should I not want the same piece of the Jewish dream in Israel just because I wasnt born Jewish? Should zionism not apply to me?
I`m afraid not. I wont apologize for being a Jew by choice, nor will I play the role of the helpless immigrant who cant speak the language and is a social burden on the country and economy. If I sound rather confident, it`s because I am. When will I have to stop proving myself as a Jew? We pay taxes and serve in the IDF. Is it not enough that Jews by choice make Israel stronger through aliyah.
