I understand that Israeli society isnt easy for Jews by birth let alone Jews by choice, however once again I dont think Jews by birth understand the issue here. Community is central to Judaism. A Jew cant be a Jew by themselves. Part of finding a community is finding acceptance. For those of us who found Judaism for whatever reasons, hopefully sincere and just, we want to be accepted as equals for joining the Jewish people. There is no Jewish community in the World like Israel. Eretz Yisrael is a melting part of Ashkenazi, Sephardim, Mizrahim, Israelis by birth, olim, Jews by birth, dati, secular, and even Jews by choice. If someone who gave up eating pork, driving on Shabbat, & praying in churches only to sincerely keep the Mitzvot observe Torah and convert, cant find a Jewish community in Israel that accepts you for you, then there is little hope for the future of the Jewish people. We must put aside our old world differences and come together to build a better Jewish state.
