| Israel has often been the object of international criticism. On those occasions, sometimes they would have support from a small number of nations such as America or Canada. Even when the Israeli actions were clearly morally or legally dubious, Israels friends did not engage in wordgames and doubletalk, they just supported without reservation. On the issue of Armenian genocide, Israel would sit the fence, calling down moral judgement upon Turkey and at the same time claiming that their relationship should not be affected. It is typical of Israel that they "can dish it out, but can`t take it". When a nation makes offensive comments about Israel, true or not, it makes it worse when that nation also includes a moralizing lecture defending their position and tells Israel that the relationship is unaffected. |
