| Just like Tamir feels young Israelis are too "impressionable" to hear about views of Judaism and Zionism that differ from her Hellenistic views, so she advocates national religous teachers from teaching secular kids, similarly the Left is drastically cutting the budgen for religous (and non-religious, for that matter) pre-Army schools. These schools turn out a lot of army officers, but Dani Yatom of the Labor party complained there are "too many religous officers". Thus they are trying to prevent religous men from becoming officers. The Hellenist Left wants the relgious to be "good citizens" (i.e. patsies) and fight their wars for them (since Leftists like Olmert`s sons left the country and won`t fight), but they are to be prevented from having any say in how Israeli society is to be run..that is to be left to the Hellenist, post-Zionist oligarchy represented by failures like Tamir. |
