| The left takes the view that the right suppresses poor Arab minorities. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The religious right recognizes a connection with the land that the left wishes to make into an apartheid Arab state where no Jew can live. The left prays for this outcome so that it can reduce the "threat" posed by the religious to their hegemony. Even the security of Israel is shunted aside in pursuit of the aim of counteracting the influence of the religious. That is the level of the left`s national agenda. |
