| The American leadership favors the establishment od an independent Palestinian state. This is their long standing position. So far, America has been content to watch as Israel delayed and sabotaged peace efforts until the Israeli strategy became obvious to the world. When America decides that the formation of the Palestinian state is critical to easing tensions in the mideast, then that state will be formed. It doesn`t matter who is serving as Israeli PM. He will climb on board or be left behind and isolated. |
