Anybody who spent half a day in the West Bank knows Israel is not interested in promoting Palestinian economy but in the opposite. Systematic devastation of economy has been conducted since the beginning of the Intifada and still is. Includes hindering transport of Palestinian-made goods and replacing them with Israeli made one in Palestinian shops; massive land grab; prevention of harmers from cultivating their land by state-sponsored settler bullies, by the army and by the Wall; denial of work permits to Palestinians within the Green Line; fines for everything beginning with jay-walking and worn tires (worn out in the decrepit apartheid roads permitted for Palestinians!); chasing out Palestinians from settler roads and forcing them to use dangerous worn out back roads; Destruction of Palestinian businesses and factories (one can always say explosives were made there and if the holy Military Spokesman says so everybody believes) and more and more.
