1 I agree that the US should have better health care for those who do not have it. This has been an ideological, not a monitary problem.
2 The three billion that Israel gets per year, of which over two billion must be spent in the US, thus creating jobs, would not cover much of anything in a humongous budget. It is the war in Iraq that is costing a fortune.
3 The US in general has a large defense budget, and military aid to allies, because as the sole super power, it is ensuring security in many areas of the world. As in most cases, other countries do not carry their fair share of the burden. |
