| It wasn`t the rabbis who separated Jews from Christians. It was the Christians who split. There were two separate camps in 1st. century Christendom; those who believed that followers of Jesus had to convert to Judaism first (Jesus` brother was in that camp), and those who felt that pagans could become Christians without becoming Jews. The second camp won out, leading to the irrevocable separation. |
