I never had the honor of meeting Domn Criveanu in Romania, but my educated guess is that he learned to keep his mouth shut, especially during the time of Nicolai and Elena Ceausescu in Romania. Domn Teodor Cirveanu died in 1988, according to the article, and I am quite aware that both Nocolai and Elena were shot on Christmas Day, 1989. Perhaps, you were not aware of the securitate (Romanian Secret Police) who served the Ceausescus during that period.
