| In a Nov. 2, 2005, Haaretz piece by this same author, Amira Hass, she wrote that President Mahmoud Abbas "cannot prevent the expropriation of land for Jewish-only roads in the West Bank." In fact, there are no Jewish-only roads in the West Bank. There are roads prohibited to Palestinians in the West Bank, but Israeli Arab citizens can and do use these roads (for business, to visit relatives, for any purpose).
