Are these children not Jewish to begin with? Why are the Ethiopians the only ones who have to `convert`, and why do they even need to do that in order to attend secular schools? Ethiopian Jews have been Jewish for much longer than most of us. And as for those who run the religious schools - take away their funding until they behave like Jews. Unless I`ve missed something, Ethiopia is not the country that`s supplying Israel with organized crime, pork chops and Xmas trees.
