Thank you, Timothy for pointing out what everyone was thinking -- that many of the signatories are Jewish.
By the tone of your comment, this invalidates the petition.
Interesting, therefore, that the pro-boycott forces put their Jewish members up front and center. Why, then, is it a sin for Jewish academics to sign a petition against the boycott and not for Jews to be used to promote the boycott?
What about when Arabs are used to promote the boycott? Are not they "biased" as well?
I am glad that Timothy is at least admitting that most Jews do not side with him. So many anti-Israel activists would have us believe that the anti-Israel Jews represent the mainstream of Jews.
That said, many of the signatories of the petition are not Jewish. Maybe they are being intimidated by "The Lobby." |
