As we know, Jews are highly represented in academia and among Nobel laureates. I think one third are Jews, as is "well known legal scholar" Dershowitz. So this is slightly misleading reporting.
A few weeks ago Haaretz had a head line about a US senator saying some pro-Israel thing - again without pointing out that Norm Coleman is a Jew.
On the other hand, if a Muslim congressman says something, he is clearly labeled as a muslim implying that his opinion comes purely from his religion.
Its a double standard to represent muslims as muslims, but Jews as if non-Jews who love Israel. |
