| The state of Israel was founded in 1948 as a Jewish nation, a homeland for wandering Jews who survived the horrors of death camps and nazi regimes. Today - in the year 2007/5767 - the ultra orthodox parties have too much power in the Knesset. Secular Jews don`t want restrictions on shabbath, they don`t want their kids to be forced to marry abroad in case the partner of their choice is not Jewish. State and religion should be separated for a truly free and democratic Israel. |
