This article and many of the resopnses above are truelly sickening.
Can a country/culture call itself a democracy when calls for measures to be taken against whole populations with little regard to the individuals that compose those groups (Don`t fund haredi schools because THEY don`t go to the army, with little regard tot he fact that perhaps in certain towns, the majority of parents sending their children to Haredii schools actually seved in the IDF) What would we say of a state that would enact a law enabling the unwarranted search of black males "since black males are involved in crime more than any other population".
Is there any "Religious" democracy that disciminates in practice against those that are not members of that religion? [Not selling lands to non-believers, additional rights to members of the religion (right of return)]
Is there any country that could call itself a democracy, when more than half the people under its control does not belong to the prefered religion |
