Whys is it that every time Haaretz reports such events,there are quite many posters here who rush to say that "Israel has lost its right to exist"?
Events like this happen in almost all countries in the world.Recently,in Athens,there was much noise about policemen beating and torturing individuals whom they just suspected of having committed some crime.There have also been reports of policemen that even killed immigrants whom they considered suspects of crimes-sometimes unjustly.But noone hae ever questionned Greece`s right to exist;likewise,nobody has ever questionned Germany`s right to exist,although Germany caused two world wars with dozens of millions of deaths;nobody has ever questionned Russia`s right to exist,although Russia (mainly under its Soviet regime) has caused hundreds of thousands of victims in the gulags etc. |
