| As long as there isn`t a wave of outcry going through the Israeli public after an incredible incident like this, there remains something deeply wrong within Israels society. The roots of this problem go much deeper, a simple army investigation just won`t be good enough. I know, it`s hard to do some serious "soul-searching" if everyone has a son, daughter, brother, sister...serving in the IDF. (Having also the draft in Switzerland, we would face exactly the same problem). But if Israels "silent majority" is not (as soon as possible) starting to ask some serious questions, she will never have a chance to regain the "moral highground". Mission impossible. |
