3) Could you perhaps explain the Israeli school system a bit better? Us ignorant Americans aren`t at all used to *choosing* where our children go to school. If the Haredi schools really offer better secular educations than the national or national-religious schools, it makes me wonder too why the State schools don`t adapt.
4) I would call such a country America. Consider yourselves lucky that your school tax dollars can fund an education at any accredited school.
Thanks for explaining everything, because I have to wonder how the Apocalypse of the Haredi Majority could ever really happen. Eventually, some Haredi kids will secularize or secular couples will produce more children or perhaps a new drive to pull in olim will happen as a last resort. I don`t understand how Israel could ever mire itself in a non-functioning ideology in which nobody grows any food, pumps any water, cures any sick people, or manufactures any products. People wouldn`t let it happen. |
