| An amusing headline given the story. Let me get this correct, the IAF "targets and damages" a building, and it turns out the target was an unfinished apartment. This reminds me of Nam where misses on bridges were credited with "cratering the approaches." "It was not immediately clear why the building was targeted." - Haaretz I agree it is unusual to whack an unfinished apartment. Might I entertain two possibilities? 1. the bomb missed. 2. the intelligence was bad. "Witnesses said a local Islamic Jihad commander, possibly the target of the attack, narrowly escaped death or injury. He was spotted driving by, and when an Israeli aircraft flew overhead he jumped out of the vehicle." - Haaretz Sounds like the real target was paying attention. |
