| We read in Haaretz today that the number of Israeli Jews seeking German passports (i.e. citizenship) is at an all times high. Since Germany already paid compensation to its ex-German Jewish citizens, can Germany now deny them the right-of-return to their homeland? Germany has already accepted 200,000 Russian Jews as new immigrants (and future citizens) in the past fews years as was recently reported by Haaretz. Will Germany look at these new Israeli Jewish applicants as a demographic threat? |
