| In his early days, Jesus, a Jew, came as a prophet for the Jews. When a gentile asked for his blessing he initially refused and said to him "Would the slaves eat from the table of the masters", the gentile responded "Even the dogs eat the left overs of the masters" then Jesus blessed him. When the Jewish community shunned Jesus, he turned his preaching to the gentiles. What is so offensive about asking anyone to convert? unless you believe in the "power" of their prayers and since most Jews are secular anyway, the point becomes moot. |
