| some Jewish born citizens. I am so sick of people who have a "holier than thou" attitude just because they were born in a Jewish nest. I tried to converse to Judaism for the sake of my Israeli - non Jewish - children. I met so many women in my position and you know what? we knew more about Judaism and respected Jewish laws more than many Jewish born Israelis. The strict rules for conversion in Israel finally made me gave up, also because one of the rabbis did not like my face. We even returned to Holland, my country of birth, just to escape the discrimination my children were undergoing. We still visit eretz Israel every year, we love being there, but living there is just about impossible, very sad to say the least. |
