| If you mean that Israel came about as a result of terrorism after WW2, you are reading much too much of anti-Israel propaganda. Indeed, there was Jewish terrorism - the Stern gang - as an example. There is no excuse for this terror, but Jews were in a desperate situation in Europe following the liberation of the death camps. They were prevented from going to Palestine by the British and held in camps in Europe - many in the very camps used by the Germans for their extermination. Arab terrorism in Palestine and the possibility of civil war discouraged the British from opening the gates to a Jewish homeland. In the present situation regarding the Darfur refugees, Israel have taken in a small number, but her neighbors have the land and financial resources to take in large numbers of their co-religionists. Even the Indonesions have the capability to absorb a substantial number of these refugees. Why doesn`t your government provide a welcome to these largely Moslem refugees? |
