It is in the interests of the West that the initiatives undertaken by Israel and the PLO succeed, but no less likely that forces beyond would like to subvert peace. Now how to win over both the Arab and Israeli streets? No doubt bring in enormous tourism and cash from the West. That would also divert many of the Jihadi volunteers from going into Al-Qaida because a large tourist economy derives from the use of Human Services.
