| Sneh proposes the continuing subversion of Fatah as the pampered pets of the state of Israel. He would have them put to use as Israels cats paw against Hamas. He would involve Israel in the internal affairs of the Palestinians by taking the taxes collected on behalf of all the Palestinians and presenting them to Israels favored faction. He endorses the long time Israeli favorite theme of collective punishment of all Palestinians living in Gaza, although he doesn`t go into detail on how this is to be done. Snehs worst mistake is to consider Hamas he primary problem in Israeli/Palestinian relations. Hamas, which was born in the mid eighties, is merely a symptom of the problem. The problem is the injustice that the Palestinian people have suffered ever since Israel was created in 1948. This injustice (and oppression) is still going on. Until this is corrected, coming up with strategies to "put down" the Palestinian threat cannot be productive. |
