It is in Israel`s best interested to keep milking the Holocaust for all it is worth, because it is about the only sympathy card it has left to play.
Although British kids should learn about the Holocaust, it shouldn`t be at the detriment to British History. Particularly Britain`s role in ending the Slave Trade, and the fact that the UK was the only country in Europe who stood up to Hitler.
As a school teacher I find the teaching of the Holocaust in our schools overbearing and I know kids who think it was the UK`s fault, when we all know it was Germany. |
