Your conclusions are based on a simplistic thought system of moral absolutism that cannot look at individual instances and see the difference. With murder, the victim is dead, most likely, and the law prosecutes the perpetrator; adultery involves two consenting adults, and while it may be frowned upon in the Torah, in secular society it really is the private business of adults; envy in secular society is nothing more than a character defect. In the case of prostitution, however, the law usually ends up punishing the victims, which are the prostitutes themselves, and therefore succeeds only in perpetuating the cycle of abuse and exploitation. Think harder, if possible.
