I`ve struggled with an English version of the Quran, enough so that when Judgement comes, I want to see the 3rd Khalif`s (who as I recall edited the Quran) hearing to find what he was thinking. But I`ve never seen a book, in English, laying out the Sharia and I`m surprized that there is one in Hewbrew; for given MG`s tone, I find it I don`t think he would read it Arabic.
So please, Mg,what was your source, because as far was I got in the Quran, jihad was only justified if (1) missionaries were refused, (2) and existing Muslim community was oppressed. Its true however, that many Islamaists select their favorite parts and mistaking it for the whole (those Sura about Jewish rights to the land of there ancestors for instance).
By the way, how do you explain Bali and the Cold Peace between Byzantium and Bhagdad (until the Selijuks showed up)? Is there a (d) which you left out? If you don`t know, ask around at the next meeting of the your Likud or NPR org. |
