No. Think of the Thirty Years War between the Roman Catholics and the Protestants.
No side was winning, but - finally - the idea of religious tolerance. The people after decades of killing each other simply realized, that tolerance is better than death.

Self-righteous people of course canīt understand the other side. They donīt have the spiritual capacity. They are far away from God.

If the number of people, who understand the nature of this conflict and the other side isnīt growing, the war will continue forever or we will see the apocalypse.
