Peace, like happiness is a pursuit. To attain it,those who stand in its way must agree that there is nothing which can be gained without it.
To merely state a peace agenda without sincerity and a means to attain it,is folly.
In truth, aren`t we still fighting the First World War? How many "truces" and "peace accords" have been signed since then. Yet peace alludes the world. Furthermore, peace always requires there to be a losing side (or cause). The parameters for compromise that would lead to peace in the case of Israel is existential. Hence, with whom can Israeli peace be accomplished that would not want its demise as condition? In that sense, the struggle for a lasting peace with mutual attitudes of "live and let live" as objective remains elusive. ### |
