| I am an Indian, not an Israeli. The Israeli, citizens seem to be reacting quite the way, Indians, probably would have! Even we Indians, at times, oppose ideas, because we personally do not like the proposer! I think the overall idea is very good, in essence (minus the involved politics) The Europeans, Americans, Israelis, Indians, are a "typically innovative" lot. I wish the Israelis take the lead in creating "a democratic censorship", such a model could be very useful, for the rest of the world to emulate. Israel, and it`s citizens could be a very ideal test-case to build democratic censorship. It is possible to build and nurture a system that empowers teachers, PTAs, and other such school related authorities and bodies, to rate and judge, content acceptability for kids and minors. And I know this is possible, because professionally, I am into Internet Security and Content Filtering. |
