| I do not agree. The fact that I read antisemitism or antiarabism on a talkback is not going to change my opinions. It gives me great discomfort, but who said living among people is a morally easy task? Hiding malicious posts will not change the fact that stupidity and ignorance exist among us. It merely positively radicalizes sensible people to stick with the side of the good. What are you trying to change? The nature of the people won`t change. What good can come of the fact that naive readers will not be aware of the darker instincts among us? One of the features of dictatorhips was trying to paint the malicious good when it serves it and ignore it when it does not serve it. People have less and less contact with eachother in real life and get to know the depth of good and evil only from the internet. Taking this away will only grow lazy and comfortable minds. Evil talkbacks keep us alert in front of our own evil. |
