One thing Israel honestly has no right to do is to trap Palestinians between the wall and the borders of their own territory. The Wall should be moved up to the Green Line, so that Israelis live on one side and Palestinians on the other. The current wall just creates a new mob of homeless Palestinians, just the kind to become suicide bombers.
And as much as I hate to see Israel give up even one neighborhood of its true capital, I don`t see how anyone can expect Palestinians to make a peace agreement in which they don`t receive East Jerusalem for their own capital.
Israelis need to start thinking with their heads about how to keep safe rather than their adrenal glands. |
