| Burston and many others always make a narrow-minded analysis. They forget the disastrous influence of third party players. Remember that the Palestinians were much influenced by Nazi Germany, see the Hamas charter to this day, but their hopes did not materialize. They were later on influenced by Nasserian nationalism and Soviet Stalinism. All these affiliations brought more misery for them. Then came Saddam Hussein and the EU, which financed terror and hatred even among Palestinian school-children. And today we have the mullahs in Tehran who promised to wipe Israel from the map. If the Palestinian Arabs will realize that a state of their own can be given only by their neighbours, the Jews, chances for a peaceful settlement will grow. |
