Mr.Burston ignores the fact that it is the Palestinians (and other Arabs) who don`t accept Israel`s right to exist.Israel has made several moves and offers for peace,yet the Arabs have responded with NOs.Even the " pan-Arab peace initiative" that they are now offering is more to the benefit of the Arab side and less to the benefit of Israel-which makes it somehow suspicious.And are the Arab states really "afraid" of radical Islamism,when most of them have radical Islamist regimes?
In short,if the Arabs have accepted UNR181,no conflict in the ME would have ever been created,whatever the name one chooses to give it.... |
