UK and other Western trade unions also boycott otyher countries for human rights abuses, not just Israel. Any Chinese delegation to London for example is met with protests about Tibet. The same applies for Somalia and Zimbabwe and Spetznaz assassinations in Chechnya, and FGB murders of Russian dissidents in London.
These folk aren`t the `loony left minority` but are in the main a cross sectionof society who are fed up with Israeli Government actions and the IDF in carrying our those measure which cannot be explained by security. That`s the crux.
This boycott is not anti-Jewish or anti-Israeli man or woman in Schlomzion or Rehavia - it is a protest at your Government and COGATs actions in the Territories - bulldozing Pal homes with no planning permission but not doing the same to Jewish homes without planning permission for example.
