Yet Israeli politicians and the Israeli public would benefit no less than Blair from Levy`s message! Israel`s very survival depends on first of all being able to view its predicament clearly and respond appropriately, and Levy shows the way for not only Israel, but a world sliding into chaos. 1: Military victory is an absurd illusion. 2: Winning hearts and minds is the only way back from the brink of utter destruction: following the Golden Rule - do unto others as you would have them do unto you. 3: FOCUSING ON COMPLETE, FREELY NEGOTIATED RETURN TO THE 1967 ARMISTICE LINES. PEACE BEGINS AND ENDS ON THE GREEN LINE, WHERE ANY ISRAELI FENCES SHOULD BE PLANTED ON THE ISRAELI SIDE OF THAT LINE, AND NO FURTHER. Peace is simple. Theft and occupation is complicated. Victory is not a chess game where you neccessarily see two moves ahead. The first move is return to 1967. |
