| Lives should not be used as poker chips. But Israel collected a whole bunch of chips first, before Hamas collected their one chip. An agreement, in which ALL Arab prisoners are immediately given a fair trial, with the jury consisting of Jews, Muslims and Christians, will be the best step towards the release of everyone. Then Israel can say that the courts freed them, and Hamas can acknowledge that with a fair court system, future kidnappings are unnecessary. The problem now is that Arabs are imprisoned for being members of certain families, carrying guns, owning guns, etc. Those are not crimes. If they are, then the settlers should all be put on trial and imprisoned as well. Justice is a better way to ensure safety for all. There is no justice for `suspected Arab militants` in Israel at the moment, unfortunately. |
