I think one should do as one feels comfortable - look at the "Russian" immigrants! Especially most recent ones ( last 10-15 years). They have brought their culture with them and practice it here ... full force. Does that take away from them being any more Israeli than others? I don`t think so, I think they are being ABSORBED by locals as they are, and finally respected for holding onto what`s important to them and not harmful at all to others.
And the new generation of kids born from this aliah is just as Israeli as anybody else ... with a little different flavor, but aren`t we all?!
