| What we call palestinians came to the land of Israel in the 19th century for the same reason that many of these Arabs do today. The Arab governments and the Ottomans offered little economic hope until Jews began arriving and building the land. We know from sources- Mark Twain for one- that the land of Israel- except for Jerusalem- was a deserted one in the mid 19th century. With Jews came jobs for Arabs- something their own countries ot this day still cannot provide. Arab failure in the 19th century is the same as the 20th and 21th. It`s either across the sea to Europe or Israel for work. Everywhere Arab- except the rich Gulf- is a failure and cannot provide jobs for their own. |
