Obviously the refugees from Darfur need help - perhaps others as well - but Israel IS tiny.

Perhaps neighboring states can lend a hand? Each nation would agree to help provide sanctuary from people who are fleeing desperate situations. If the states function as a group, a lot of people could be saved.

I agree, as Jews we have a duty to help. It doesn`t sound as if Egypt is guaranteeing anybody`s safety so I don`t think that`s a proper solution.

As with the other problems in the area, regional cooperation is the answer. There is no problem that can`t be solved if people of good will work together.

Of course it would help if people would stop shooting at each other and try to help solve problems instead. Maybe if the terrible situation in Sudan is analyzed, people will agree to bury the hatchet and lend a hand?

Meanwhile I hope the refugees won`t be sent away.
