To me, it seems that the state could only be saved from an indecent act if the majority denounced the person who committed that indecent act, thus supporting the women (and men and children) who have suffered from sexual abuse. What message is the democratic state of Israel sending to those who have been abused? If the message is a negative one, one that is devoid of any moral support, then our citizens have been abused once again; this time not by the perpetrator of the original sin, but by the state that was supposed to protect and defend them. This is an indecent act, one which could have been avoided. But the person who committed it, as a representative of the government of Israel, has soiled the reputation of the state.
