Aren`s message is a bitter pill for the leftist ideological agenda. But it is worth paying attention to. Realism is a point in "space" that requires leaving ideological beliefs in the background and embracing the world as is. The left wing ideological agenda has let us astray.
We need to embrace the reality that there is no peace partner from the Palestinian side, that they do not know how to hold agreements, and that the real Palestinian power-brokers (from both the secular Arabic and Islamic side, no matter if in Gaza or Judea & Shomron) want our destruction. It is particularly difficult pill to swallow, because it doesn`t offer any peaceful solution to the current conflict. But to live in a perpetual dreamland of denial also has its price, as we are witnessing its results in our state of affairs with the Palestinians (and with Hizbolla) today. |
