Under international law Israel is still responsible to what happens in Gaza, as it is still occupied, as Israel controls its air space, sea ports and borders. The pictures that have a potential to develop of starving Palestinians will add to the already poor view of Israel throughout the world and will surely increase anti-semtism throughout it.
The only way Israel would be able to release itself of all responsibility is to cease occupying the strip, namely, having the Palestinians control their own borders, seaports and air space as all free nations do, otherwise, it is still an occupying and the responsible power in Gaza. |
