Time times and a half a time
Why doesn?t Daniel simply say three and a half times?
Because he was living during the first time period. In book of kings it says Solomon built the first temple 480 years after the exodus from Egypt. the first temple lasted 410 years the next 70 years the Jews were in exile (Daniel lived during the 70 years of exile) then 480 years after the first temple was built Ezra and Nehemiah built the second temple 480+480 =960 if 960 years is a time period then the math should be 960= time +1920=times +480 = half time. The total is the Hebrew year 5808 (2048) Israel?s 100th birthday
960 years is indeed a earth time period
