| I did Birthright last summer and it really made me think about Judaism in America. I don`t feel that birthright disourags kids from getting invlolved in the jewish Community at all in America. If it`s non-existent, then they will try to make it better. I myself startd a Hillel on my campus and attend shabbat services regularly upon my return from Israel. I`m even going back to Israel this summer to study Hebrew so I can teach students at the tmeple next to my college. If I did not do Birthright last summer, I would never have gotten involved in American Jewish communities or tried to make them better. |
