After the Lebanon war I was visiting India. I came across a group (Hebrew speaking)young Israelis, who had come to chill out on drugs and cheap living, after having been in Lebanon, perhaps.
They complained that Indians were unfriendly. I said that is absolutely no true, I find them very friendly. They said the Indian people don`t like Israelis. I wonder why.
People everywhere are much more aware of what going on in Israel, their brutal treatment of Palestinians and the occupation. The false image given to the world that Israel is an "egalitarian" state is no more there. |
